Reproduction takes place in April and October - November. Differs in high fertility. Unlike Caridea shrimps, the female does not incubate eggs on the pleopods, but spawns them into the water. Larval stages 14. Eggs are spherical, diameter 0.27-0.29 mm. Hatching of nauplii occurs 12-13 hours after spawning in water (Devarajan et al, 1979).
