Adriatic and Mediterranean seas, west coast of France. Lives in the coastal area of the Black Sea. It buries itself in the ground and makes long passages under the roots of the zostera, which they cover with a large claw. At night, it rises to the sea surface (Kobyakova, Dolgopolskaya, 1969).
