Alpheodes dentipes (Hell.) Sow-ky Sovinsky, 1902 for Black Sea
Occurs in the Black Sea, the seas of the Mediterranean basin; in the eastern Atlantic from Portugal to the Gulf of Guinea and the Azores at shallow depths of up to 40 m. Lives in rock crevices, leaving their shelters mostly at night (Kobyakova, Dolgopolskaya, 1969).
Leads a secretive lifestyle. The presence of this species can be recognized by characteristic clicks under water.
