  Neocrangon communis (Rathbun, 1899)  
Synonyms: Crangon communis Rathbun, 1899   Slizkin, 2006
Common shrimp occurs in the North Pacific from the Chukchi Sea to Peter the Great Bay, Toyama Bay and Cape Todo (Honshu Island) along the Asian coast and to California along the American coast. In the Bering and Okhotsk Seas, it lives at depths from 30 to 555 m, in the Sea of Japan it penetrates to depths of up to 1450 m, in California - up to 1537 m.In the eastern part of the Bering Sea, it is found at depths of 62-95 m on silty-sandy ground (Slizkin , 2006).
